š Sunsets, Sunrises, and the Mercy Between

Thereās something sacred about the sky at the edge of day. When the sun kisses the water in a slow descentāor rises with golden arms stretched wideāwe are witnessing something holy.
It reminds me that God is both Alpha and Omega.Beginning and End.Painter of light and Author of time.
š Every Day, a Mercy
Scripture tells us:
āBecause of the Lordās great love we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.āā Lamentations 3:22ā23
I donāt know about you, but Iāve stood at the edge of some long nightsāmoments where I didnāt know how the light would return. But it did.Not always fast, not always flashyābut faithfully.
Every sunrise is evidence that Heās not done with us.Every sunset reminds us we can lay it all down and rest.
š New Paintings, Old Truths
Lately, Iāve been painting silhouettes again.Maybe itās because I feel like one sometimesāa shape, a shadow learning to be fully seen in Godās light.
Two of my newest pieces are steeped in this symbolism:
A warm, glimmering sunset behind cattails dancing at the lakeās edgeāa still moment between what was and whatās coming next.
And anotherātall pines stretching skyward, silhouetted against a brilliant wash of dusk. Trees that have stood through seasons, still reaching, still rooted.
These pieces were painted slowly, prayerfully. They hold the weight of endings and the hope of beginnings. They speak of stillness, surrender, and steady faith.
⨠For Those in the In-Between
Maybe youāre standing at a threshold right now.Not quite where you were, not quite where youāre going.Friend, the God who paints the sky also holds your story.
Let the sun remind you:
You donāt have to fear whatās ending.
You donāt have to rush whatās beginning.
There is mercy in every moment in between.
